On 10 March 2026, Stan Jallot launched the first pre-orders for the selle Jallot (Jallot Saddle<\/a>), a two-seater saddle developed in partnership with our design office. Let us look back on two years of research and development<\/a> to develop his unique product on the market.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

idea, brief and step into the unknown<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Stan Jallot contacted Fred Bernard at the end of 2023 with a clear brief: to launch the first two-seater saddle compatible with 99% of bikes on the market. His goal was to enable two people to ride on the same bike while complying with the legal and regulatory requirements. His three keywords: safety, comfort and user-friendliness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI am not an engineer. Before meeting with Antidote Solutions, I knew nothing about materials and their mechanical attributes. However, everyday on the streets in Paris, I witnessed a clear and growing need people had to travel together on a bicycle. Sometimes, people were on a cargo bike, but very often people would tend to do it illegally and dangerously on the luggage rack, in the front basket, on the toe-clips\u2026\u201d<\/em>

calculations, testing bench and homologation<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

At the outset, in early 2024, everything needed to be created from scratch: the company, the brand, the product design, and the feasibility of the idea had to be tested. The initial series of calculations were required to verify whether the standard frames available on the market could withstand the additional stresses imposed by a two-seater saddle.
Antidote Solutions modelled the entire saddle and seat post assembly for the future Jallot saddle, drawing inspiration from the pivoting seat posts used in BMX.
In March 2025, Fred took Stan to Taiwan for the Taipei Cycle Show<\/a> to meet with pre-identified manufacturers. At one of the stands, Stan spotted a component that inspired him. Fred then designed the CAD model on the spot in a corner of the exhibition hall. This was the missing connecting piece the project needed. From that moment on, everything accelerated to showcase a prototype in June at the Eurobike<\/a> and the Pro Days<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before launching production, the calculation report was validated through practical testing on Antidote Solutions\u2019 fatigue test bench. Additionally, the calculations assessing the impact of increased load cases on bicycle frames were updated and confirmed the system\u2019s compatibility with a wide range of frames available on the market (steel, aluminium, double triangle, low crossbar, etc.).
Supported by Fidal Innovation<\/a>, a consultancy specialising in industrial property, Stan Jallot filed two patent applications with the INPI. Patentability has now been confirmed, and international extensions are currently underway. To be continued\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Jallot Saddle is available for pre-orders on Ulule<\/a>, with delivery starting in April 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
