He has changed his route from the Alpine passes to those in the Pyrenees. Since September 2024, Hugo Rouland has joined Antidote Solutions’ team as a Powertrain Project Manager.
After a first experience at Cixi in Annecy, this mechanical engineer is now the Powertrain lead in our team. When we asked Hugo about his background, he answered without hesitation: “First thing to know, I’ve always ridden road bikes, and that definitely played a role in joining Antidote Solutions.”
When he was a student at INSA Lyon, Hugo was part of the High-Level Sport program, which gave him an adapted schedule and the opportunity to spend one year abroad in Bilbao through the Erasmus program. There, he joined the elite-level Basque team Eiser Hirumet. “I really enjoyed being a teammate. The staff trusted me, and I had a role within a high-performing group with riders who had complementary strengths. It’s a great memory.”
Since joining Antidote Solutions, Hugo has been working on both confidential client projects and key R&D topics, including:
- Developing an engine test bench
- Sourcing motors, controllers, batteries, and various accessories
- Programming controllers and debugging prototypes
- Comparing and testing powertrain products
- Improving a simulation tool for dynamic propulsion behaviour in vehicles
To conclude this interview, Hugo will have the final word: “This is a team that is attentive and gives you confidence. I’m also discovering the complementary roles within the Fler Group”.
