Since March 2022, Yann Cano has been a project manager within the Antidote Solutions team.
Together with Alex Guiral and Fred Bernard, he ensures the overall follow-up and progress of our projects. When asked about his speciality and the projects he loves working on, Yann mentions “five-legged sheep and everyday bikes”.
An engineer by training, Yann has always wanted to work in the utility cycling sector. The first opportunity arose during his studies at the ENI in Tarbes (an engineering school in Tarbes, south of France), where he was able to do an internship at Velomobiel in the Netherlands.
After several experiences as an engineer, Yann crossed paths with Alex in the Basque Country, when he was working at Lopitz on a cargo trike project in 2017.
Since joining the team, Yann has been in charge of utility bike projects such as Galian and Gaya. And like 100% of the team, he cycles, mainly for his daily journeys.
Yann is also a fan of bike touring and cycling trips, and mentions one journey in particular: a crossing of Eurasia as far as Lake Baikal, lasting 1 year, in 2015. “My expertise is in utility cycling. I know how bikes are used because I am a regular user.”
Yann is also our employee representative within the Fler group. “I am proud to be part of a collective that is evolving and innovating, where we can be involved in strategic decisions, even when working 100% remotely. I am always delighted to see my colleagues again during our regular remote meetings, at trade shows or in the four corners of the world for supplier visits.”
